General Statement of Duties:
Assist and provide a range of legal support and administration to the Litigation Practice Group in Commercial Litigation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain, review organize and analyze preliminary documentation and information
- Meet with and communicate with client about case status and preparation
- Perform legal research;
- Investigate corporate and individual backgrounds to determine proper parties to sue
- Identify, gather, organize, summarize and analyze factual data
- Acts as intermediary between attorney and client;
- Drafts correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings and discovery documents, including bill of particulars, discovery responses, discovery demands, subpoenas and other necessary documentation
- Identify and organize document production;
- Obtain, review and organize information on damages; calculate damages (property damage, )
- Review, organize and analyze documents;
- Research and communicate with potential expert witnesses and witnesses
- Assist attorney with trial preparation including coordination of witnesses, preparation of trial exhibits, preparation of subpoenas;
- Attend court room proceedings with attorney to provide exhibit and witness management during trial.

- Ability to work independently and make necessary and appropriate decisions within the ethical legal parameters and understands disciplinary rules and ethical boundaries relative to the unauthorized practice of law;
- Ability to identify problems and recommend and/or take appropriate solutions as allowed/required;
- Ability to prepare/draft appropriate legal documents and correspondence;
- Experience with Employment Law, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and Construction Litigation preferred
Education and/or Experience:
- High School degree required; AAS degree preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Paralegal certification preferred
- Notary Public license preferred
