When the debris is cleared: Seeking justice after car accidents

On Behalf of | Jun 1, 2017 | Car Accidents

New York highways are undoubtedly some of the busiest and most heavily traveled in the nation. One never knows when another driver’s negligence will result in a motor vehicle collision. The effects of car accidents generally do not end upon impact; in fact, sometimes consequences last a lifetime.

A terrible two-car crash recently occurred on Staten Island. It was reportedly just before noon when the two vehicles collided. Officials say the crash took place on Broadway, in the Castleton Avenue area.

As is often the case in such situations, the exact cause of this particular accident was not immediately apparent. Investigators are currently analyzing various details to determine who or what may have caused the crash. Medical rescue workers arrived on the site to find 11 injured victims. Each of them was transported to a nearby university medical center for treatment. Thankfully, none of the injuries suffered were said to be life-threatening.

During recovery from injuries following New York car accidents, it’s not uncommon for those involved to face serious financial challenges. Making ends meet can be difficult if a recovering victim is unable to work. When medical bills begin piling up and no income is coming in, families may be unduly burdened by their expenses. A personal injury attorney is often able to help by filing claims against any and all parties deemed responsible for collisions. Damages listed in such claims often include emotional pain and suffering, as well as lost wages, court fees and other expenses typically associated with such incidents.
