An injury crash recently took place in New York. The three-car accident took place on a Tuesday night. These types of car accidents sometimes occur due to the carelessness of one person behind the wheel, which is grounds for taking legal action.
The car wreck occurred a little after 6 p.m. According to police, one vehicle was going east on a street. All of a sudden, it crashed into the back of another car that was waiting to make a left turn onto another street.
The car that was attempting to turn ended up being pushed into the traffic going west. It was then struck by a car going west before catching on fire. One of the motorists suffered injury to his or her leg, while another one complained about head pain. Both of these individuals were transported to the hospital, while the third driver refused to undergo medical treatment. Police continued to investigate the car crash.
The driver who is believed to have caused the crash by rear-ending one of the vehicles may be held liable for any injuries suffered in the New York collision. Anyone hurt in the crash has the right to file a claim against this person, seeking damages. A successfully fought case may result in the awarding of damages, which may help to cover a victim’s hospital bills, the loss of wages and other expenses tied to the case. In order to prevail in civil court cases involving car accidents, liability has to be established based on competent proof submitted to the court.
